2009 Fuji TV release that starred Horikita Maki, Kaname Jun, Okada Yoshinori, Mukai Osamu, Yamamoto Yusuke, Seto Koji, Okayama Tomoki, Kusakari Masao, Yamamoto Koji, and Takashima Reiko.
It's the story of an orphan girl living on the streets of Tokyo and while being chased by bad guys, a helicopter lands nearby. Out steps a gentleman who looks entirely western but who speaks perfect Japanese, and he offers her his hand in marriage if she will help him to raise his six sons.
The whole drama dabbled in the gross, the weird, and even the macabre - and it was so obviously based on yet, another Manga/Anime series, it wasn't funny.
Its obvious to me that the reason this turned out to be a success was because of the fact that trippy, dippy, 'wee-hoo!' pop fans got to stare at their grass-eating lover boys for a few weeks.
The whole time I watched this, I got the same, eerie vibe that overshadowed Himitzu no Hanazono - and I think I liked that bizarre tale better.
