I don't know. But after watching the Japanese Hana Kimi twice, still have no intension to watch the Taiwanese version. Maybe it's just because I love Ikuta Toma and Oguri Shun too much. They look so cute in the drama. (especially when Sano is drunk.)
For me, I love the setting of Japanese version more since every supporting characters add a little merit to the drama. The Taiwanese

Actually it IS loosely based on the manga, Hyouryuu Kyoushitsu, written in the 1970s. The main idea, some of the characters and events are the same as the written counterpart. Also, descriptions of the drama even admit it is based on this manga.

No, wiki does not have it wrong. Odagiri Ryu is played in the movie by the same actor who portrayed him in the second season: Kazuya Kamenashi. He just changed his haircut, that's all.

I really like Baker King because you can learn many things, virtues as well. It does not focus much on love but much more on how to overcome obstacles in life like Tak Gu in Baker King. He really do his best that he can. Though, he encounter many trials in life, he still continue it because he knows that at last he will win.

I think whichever version you saw first will likely be the one you like better. That is the case for me. I like the Taiwanese version better and I like the two leads.

Bong ju's character is very annoying. He keeps blaming Sung Chan for everything and he himself kept doing stupid things and expect good results.

The closeup of people's mouth when they stuff food in them to be unnecessary. I mean, who wants to see that?

I do like the food aspect though not when they show the raw meat. I like the seeing food and how they are make.
